Flexilube, an independent lubricant producer and waste oil re-refinery in Meyerton, Gauteng, is seeking a skilled professional to join our fast-moving production team.
JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION & MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
- Carry out inspections of the production facilities to identify & resolve issues
- Attend to equipment failure & breakdowns immediately.
- Implement Improvements to plant & equipment.
- Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
- Adhere to and enforce SHEQ Procedures & Company policies.
- Supervise Refinery Operators and assist Refinery Manager.
- Assist in Supervision of production personnel in workshop and plant.
- Assist with stock requirements & conduct regular stock counts.
- Stand in for Refinery & Maintenance Manager when required.
- Other ad-hoc duties
Desired Experience & Qualification:
- Matric Certificate, Further Qualifications in Production & Maintenance.
- Machining, fitting, turning & welding & boiler making skills are beneficial.
- 5 Years plant maintenance & workshop supervision, preferable related to petroleum industry.
- Computer skills, Microsoft office suite.
- Knowledge of production environments, pumps, welding, boiler making and pipe fitting.
Key Skills / Attributes:
- Literate and able to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to delegate and do maintenance planning as well as preventive maintenance.
- Interpersonal and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures precisely.
- Knowledge of SHEQ Procedures.
- Forklift & SHEQ certifications are beneficial.
- Willing to work overtime and be on standby after hours & over the weekends
- Able to work under pressure
- Mostly work outdoors
